Each
piece, either Biblical Icon or Pendant, is painted in gold and color mixers
over pearl canvas with a brush made out of squirrel tail. There are 16 layers
in the painting. The frame is made of the most valuable real Russian gold
or German silver. Each Icon was painted in by Russian masters under the
supervision of Alexander from the village of Fedoskino, Russia. Alexander
is one of the most prominent painters of icons and pendants in Russia. It
takes almost 10 years to master this special exquisite skill and then it
takes 7 to 8 years to paint one icon by one master. After 18 years of this
miraculous job, the painter's eye vision gets very poor and one cannot do
this job any longer. There are limited number of these unique and fascinating
pieces due to the huge amount of diligent and intricate work, highly valuable
precious material, and long sleepless nights and days required to create
just one of these astounding items. Each item is unique and cannot be duplicated.
